Fall Inspired Butter Board

This butter board is such a fun idea for the upcoming holidays. Swirls of creamy butter layered with a homemade cranberry compote, fresh sage and a drizzle of honey.

STEP 1:  Soften butter by removing from the refrigerator 2 hours before assembling.  Spread onto a wood board or serving dish.

STEP 2:  Cook cranberries, orange zest, brown sugar, cinnamon stick, salt and orange juice for 5 minutes.  Add cornstarch slurry and cook until mixture is thick.

STEP 3:  To assemble, sprinkle butter evenly with flaky salt. Top with cooled cranberry compote.

STEP 4:  Then, add thinly sliced sage leaves and additional orange zest.

STEP 5:  Garnish with whole sage leaves and lightly drizzle with honey and cracked black pepper.

STEP 6:  Place board in the center of your table and serve with warm crusty bread or a variety of crackers.
