Sour Cream and Chive Dip

This sour cream and chive dip is made with caramelized shallots, garlic, fresh chives and lemon juice.  It's served alongside a Mike Wazowski vegetable platter.  Perfect for parties and family gatherings.

STEP 1:  Heat pan over medium-high heat; add oil.  Add shallots and sauté for 3-4 minutes until caramelized.  Add garlic and cook for an additional 2 minutes.  Remove from heat and let cool.

STEP 2:  While mixture is cooling, finely chop chives.

STEP 3:  In a bowl, combine sour cream, chopped chives, sautéed garlic and shallots, lemon juice, mustard powder, onion powder and salt.

STEP 4:  Mix ingredients together until they are well blended.

STEP 5:  Pour dip into a small bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow all the flavors to meld together.

STEP 6:  Place dip onto a platter or board and serve with fresh-cut vegetables or crispy potato chips.
